What safety precautions should I take when using the Singer 1120?

Always keep fingers away from moving parts, especially the needle. Turn the power switch to 'O' (off) when making adjustments in the needle area, and always unplug the machine when removing covers or lubricating. Never operate the machine if it has a damaged cord, is not working properly, or has been dropped or damaged. Do not pull or push fabric while stitching as it may deflect the needle.
