What should I do if the jump starter clamps are connected with reverse polarity?

If the clamps are connected incorrectly with reverse polarity, the unit will sound a continuous alarm until the clamps are disconnected. The LCD screen will display flashing alarm and arrow icons. The unit will suffer permanent damage if the Jump Starter Power Switch is turned on with reverse polarity connections. Disconnect the clamps and reconnect to the battery with correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative for negative-grounded systems). (Page 10)
