What should I do when the descaling indicator light comes on?

You must descale the machine within the coming days — do not wait too long, as too much limescale can build up and make the descaling agent ineffective. Use a commercially available liquid descaling agent suitable for coffee and espresso machines, and never use one based on formic acid. Note that warranty does not cover damage caused by neglecting descaling.
