How do I add items to the dishwasher after a cycle has already started?

You can add an item anytime before the main wash starts, or before the Cycle Control knob reaches Light Wash. Lift up the door latch to stop the cycle and wait for the spraying action to stop before opening the door, then add the item. Close the door without latching it, wait 30 seconds for the air to warm up, then close the door firmly until it latches to resume the cycle. (Page 14)
