What should I do before starting my dishwasher?

Before starting, read the Important Safety Instructions on page 2, spin the upper and lower spray arms to make sure nothing will stop them from turning freely, push the door firmly when closing so it will automatically latch, and run hot water at the sink nearest the dishwasher until it is hot, then turn it off.
