How do I add a forgotten garment after the wash cycle has already started?

You can add 1 or 2 missed garments while the 'Add Garment' light is lit on the control panel. Touch START once and the door will unlock once the washer movement has stopped, which may take several minutes. Then close the door and touch and hold START again to restart the cycle. (Page 12)
