What type of detergent must I use, and can I use regular (non-HE) detergent?

You must use only High Efficiency (HE) detergents, which will be marked 'HE' or 'High Efficiency' on the package. Using non-HE detergent will likely result in longer cycle times, reduced rinsing performance, and over time may cause component failure and buildup of mold or mildew due to excessive sudsing. HE detergents are low-sudsing and quick-dispersing to deliver the right amount of suds for best performance.
