Why is my dishwasher taking longer than expected to complete a cycle?

Several factors can cause longer cycle times, including incoming water that is not warm enough, an empty rinse aid dispenser or a rinse aid setting of 0, heavy soil detected by dishwasher sensors, or the dishwasher being connected to a cold water supply. To help, run the hot water faucet at the nearest sink before starting a cycle, add rinse aid, and scrape food off dishes before loading. (Page 42)
