How do I set up my Calphalon Espresso Machine for the first time?

First, remove all packaging and position the machine on a dry, stable, flat countertop. Wash the removable parts (milk pitcher, drip tray grill, filter baskets) in warm water with mild detergent, then rinse and dry them. Fill the water reservoir with room temperature water, remove the red plug from the base of the reservoir, insert the power plug into a 120V outlet, and press the ON/OFF button. The ON/OFF light will pulse while heating, and when both the ON/OFF and READY lights are fully illuminated, insert the portafilter with the two cup filter basket into the group head and turn the dial to 2 SHOT to prime the machine.
