How do I safely refuel my lawn tractor?

Never remove the gas cap or add fuel while the engine is hot or running — allow the engine to cool at least two minutes before refueling. Fill the tank to no more than ½ inch below the bottom of the filler neck to allow space for fuel expansion, and never overfill the tank. If gasoline is spilled, wipe it off the engine and equipment, move the machine to another area, and wait five minutes before starting the engine. (Page 12)
