What are the two modes on the Dryer+Flyaway smoother and how do I switch between them?

The Dryer+Flyaway smoother has two modes: drying and smoothing. To switch between the modes, use the cool tip on the side of the attachment to rotate and select the desired mode. The smoothing mode is designed for use on dry, straight hair to hide flyaways by positioning the contact bar against the head until you hear a click, then running from root to tip. (Pages 6, 8)
