What is the difference between the Wave+Curl diffuser's Dome mode and Diffuser mode?

In Dome mode, airflow is drawn into the dome to help enhance and smooth natural waves or curls. In Diffuser mode, the detachable prongs disperse airflow to the roots for textured, voluminous curls and coils. You can switch between modes by lifting the prong bed from the center of the diffuser.
