Error Code P0014-00
B Camshaft Position – Timing Over-Advanced Or System Performance (Bank 1). The deviation of the camshaft position from the target point is too high, indicating the camshaft timing is over-advanced or the CVVT system is not performing correctly.
? What Causes This
Oil leak, Oil Control Valve (OCV) malfunction, or CVVT Assembly failure. Can also be caused by slow response of actuator or steady deviation between actual and setpoint camshaft position.
✓ How to Fix It
- Connect GDS and check DTC status.
- Verify oil level and check for oil leaks around OCV.
- Inspect connectors for looseness or corrosion.
- Test OCV resistance (should be 9.9 ± 0.5Ω at 20°C).
- If OCV is faulty, substitute with known-good unit and test operation.
- Check OCV filter for contamination and clean or replace as necessary.
- If OCV is functional, inspect CVVT assembly for binding or damage.
- Replace CVVT assembly if defective.
- Clear DTC and verify repair.
