How do I check if the harness straps are tight enough on my child?

The harness straps must be snug against the child with no slack — a snug strap lies in a relatively straight line without sagging and does not press into the child's flesh. To verify tightness, check the straps near the shoulders: you should NOT be able to pinch the harness webbing. Adjust as needed using the harness adjustment strap. (Page 62)
