How should I dress my child during cold weather when using the car seat?

In cold weather, do not dress your child in bulky clothing like snowsuits when riding in the child restraint. Bulky coats and snowsuits make it difficult to properly tighten the harness, which may allow the child to be ejected from the restraint during a crash. If extra warmth is needed, place a blanket over the harnessed child without interfering with the harness system. (Page 13)
