How do I test the alternator using the BC40BE?

The alternator must be fully charged before testing — run the engine until it reaches normal idle speed, then press the alternator check button to start the test. If the unit detects good alternator function, the screen will display 'Good'; if not, it will show a flashing fault icon with the alternator symbol.
