Where should I install the thermostat, and what safety precautions apply?

Install the thermostat away from heat sources such as radiators, direct sunlight, and kitchens, and away from doors and windows, mounting it approximately 1.5 meters above floor level. The installation and assembly of electrical equipment must be performed by expert personnel, and before connecting the thermostat, ensure that the load (pumps, valves, boiler, etc.) is not powered up.
