How do I connect the water supply line to the ice maker?

First, disconnect the refrigerator from electrical power. Flush the water supply line until water is clear, then remove the plastic cap from the water valve inlet. For copper tubing, slide the brass compression nut and ferrule onto the line, push it into the valve inlet ¼ inch, then finger tighten the nut and turn an additional half turn with a wrench—do not overtighten. For braided stainless steel tubing, slide the pre-assembled nut onto the valve inlet and tighten the same way.
