Why won't water pump out of the dishwasher tub?

Water not pumping out is typically caused by a clogged drain. If your dishwasher has an air gap, clean it; also check whether your kitchen sink is draining well, as a plumber may be needed. If the dishwasher drains into a garbage disposal, run the disposal clear before operating the dishwasher. (Page 13)
