How do I protect my dishwasher if it will be stored in an unheated place during winter?

If the dishwasher will be left in an unheated place during winter, you should have a service technician cut off electrical power, remove fuses or trip the circuit breaker, turn off the water supply, disconnect and drain the water inlet line and water valve, then reconnect the line. The technician should also remove the plastic sump cover in the tub bottom and use a sponge to soak up water in the rubber boot. (Page 16)
