What is LATCH and how does it work with this car seat?

LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren. It consists of two lower anchor points and one top tether anchor point in the vehicle. The car seat's LATCH system has a lower anchor belt with connectors and a top tether strap. LATCH can be used in place of vehicle seat belts if the vehicle is equipped with LATCH anchor points, and it should only be used in seating positions recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
