Yes, but with caution. When blending hot liquids in the open top blender jar, remove the center filler cap and do not exceed the 2-cup (473 ml) level. With the protection of an oven mitt or thick towel, place one hand on top of the lid, keep exposed skin away from the lid, and start blending at the lowest speed. (Page 3)
