What should I do if the appliance fails to start?

First, make sure the Power Switch Button is ON (I) and illuminated blue. Check that the unit is securely plugged into an electrical outlet of the proper voltage and frequency. Verify that the fuse for the electrical outlet has not blown and that the Reset Button on the bottom rear of the Base has not switched to OFF. Also ensure the Lid or Jar are locked properly in place, as the appliance has an interlock feature that prevents operation if they are not secure.
