What should I do if there is an unusual odor?

If the unit is new, remove the tank cover and let it air out in a cool, dry place for 12 hours. If the unit is in use, empty the tank and water reservoir, pour out any remaining water, reassemble, and refill with clean, cool water. (Page 12)
