How should I clean and store the humidifier when not in use for an extended period?

Before storing, clean the water tank, water reservoir, float, and transducer/ultrasonic membrane with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Rinse all parts thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before storing. Also remove the essential oil pad from the oil tray, and after storage, rinse the tank with water before operating again.
