How do I set up the HPA830 Air Purifier for the first time?

First, ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged. Select a firm, level location at least 6 inches away from walls or furniture. Remove the filter grille cover, pull out the filter cartridge by the tab, remove protective plastic wrap from the filters, wrap the Pre-Filter around the HEPA Filter cartridge and secure with fasteners, reinsert the filters ensuring the plastic ring is on top with the tab facing out, and replace the grille cover by pushing gently until secure.
