How far from the wall should I place the HPA830?

The unit should be placed more than 6 inches away from the closest wall or furniture so that the grille is not blocked. A firm, level, and flat surface is recommended for placement. Portable air purifiers are also more effective in rooms where all doors and windows are closed. (Page 5)
