Why did my HPA830 suddenly switch to a higher fan speed on its own?

If the air purifier is set to Auto Mode, it may have sensed a higher level of VOCs in the room and automatically adjusted the cleaning level accordingly. Note that using scented aromatherapy oils in the unit can also trigger the VOC sensor to detect elevated levels and cause the unit to operate at a higher speed in Auto Mode. (Page 10)
