How do I connect the HP DesignJet 500 to a network?

The HP DesignJet 500 can be connected to a Local Area Network (LAN) by fitting it with an optional HP JetDirect Print Server Fast Ethernet 10/100 Base TX network interface card. For direct connection to a computer, the printer supports a traditional parallel interface or a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.
