How do I check the CVVT assembly for proper operation?

Remove the CVVT assembly and check that it is locked, then apply low air pressure of approximately 150 kPa (1.5 kg/cm², 21 psi) to the exposed camshaft port to release the lock pin. Turn the CVVT to the advance direction and allow it to move in both advance and delay directions to ensure there is no binding and that it moves freely in a range of about 20°. Finally, turn the CVVT by hand to confirm it locks at the maximum delay angle position. (Page 11-12)
