Why are my dishes coming out spotty or cloudy?

Spots form when hard water droplets evaporate and leave a mineral deposit, and low-phosphate detergents can make the problem worse in hard water. To prevent spotting, use hot water, a detergent with at least 8.7% phosphates, and always use a rinse aid. If water is very hard, installing a water softener may be necessary. (Page 13)
