How do I clean the surface burner caps and heads?

Remove the surface burner grate first, then the burner cap and heads. Use a soap-filled scouring pad or mild abrasive cleanser to clean them. The ports around the burner head must be routinely cleaned; if residue remains, use a small-gauge wire or needle to clean the slots. Always keep the burner cap and head in place when the burner is in use.
