Is it safe to use aluminum foil on the oven bottom or oven racks?

Never cover any slots, holes, or passages in the oven bottom or cover an entire rack with aluminum foil, as this blocks air flow through the oven and may cause carbon monoxide poisoning. Aluminum foil linings may also trap heat, creating a fire hazard. (Page 5)
