How do I connect the drain hose to avoid leaks?

The drain hose must be at least 12 inches (305 mm) high and within 40 inches (1016 mm) from the base of the dishwasher to avoid water being siphoned from the tub. Do not exceed 12 feet (3.65 m) distance to drain. Feed the drain hose through the hole under the sink and gradually slide the dishwasher into the cabinet while pulling on the hose to take up slack, being careful not to kink, pinch, crush, or stress it.
