How do I prevent odors from developing in my front-load washer?

Always leave the washer door slightly ajar between uses to allow the washer to dry and prevent buildup of odor-causing residue, since this washer has a tight seal to avoid water leaks. Use warm or hot water washes sometimes (not exclusively cold), always use the correct amount of HE detergent, and run the Clean Washer cycle with affresh® monthly. Unload the washer as soon as the cycle is complete, or use the Fresh Hold® option if you cannot remove the load immediately. (Page 13, 22)
