How should I prepare my washer for winter storage or an extended period of non-use?

Shut off both water faucets and disconnect and drain the water inlet hoses, then pour 1 qt. (1 L) of R.V.-type antifreeze into the basket and run the RINSE/DRAIN AND SPIN cycle for about 1 minute to mix antifreeze with remaining water. Finally, unplug the washer or disconnect power and clean the dispenser. It is important to install and store the washer where it will not freeze, as freezing can damage the machine. (Page 16)
