What should I do before running the very first wash cycle?

Before washing clothes for the first time, fill the HE liquid dispenser cartridge and install it in the dispenser drawer. Then choose the SMALL LOAD cycle and run it without any clothes, using only HE detergent. This initial cycle ensures the interior is clean and the dispenser drawer is ready for use before washing clothes. (Page 9)
