How much detergent should I add for different water hardness levels?

The amount depends on soil level and water hardness. For soft to medium water (0-6 grains per gallon), use less detergent, while medium to hard water (7-12 grains per gallon) requires more detergent. Fill the Main Wash section as shown in the manual and the Pre-Wash section if needed. (Page 4)
