What does the F09 E01 error code mean and how do I fix it?

Error code F09 followed by E01 indicates a drain pump system error. Check that the drain hose is not kinked, pinched, or blocked, is not inserted more than 4.5 inches (114 mm) into the standpipe, and that the end of the drain hose is not higher than 96 inches (2.4 m) above the floor. Remove any clogs from the drain hose and ensure it is properly secured using the drain hose form. (Page 16)
