What should I do if the Big Blue 400D experiences starting problems or poor performance?

To improve cold weather starting, use the Starting Aid switch, keep the battery in good condition, use fuel formulated for cold weather, and use the correct grade oil for cold weather (see maintenance label). If unburned fuel and oil collect in the exhaust pipe during run-in, refer to Section 11 for the wetstacking procedure. If the unit runs out of fuel, air will enter the fuel system and cause starting problems—see the engine manual to bleed air from the fuel system.
