What should I do if the Big Blue 500 overheats or shuts down?
Overload protection is designed to prevent damage from excessive use. If overheating occurs: allow a cooling period before continuing to weld; follow the rated duty cycle specifications; reduce current or reduce duty cycle before starting to weld again; and do not block or filter airflow to the unit. Consult the troubleshooting section for specific error codes and additional guidance if the unit continues to have problems.
