What are the different speed settings on the BL660 and what are they used for?

The BL660 has three speed settings plus a Pulse function. Speed 1 is for processing and mixing thin batters, gravies, marinades, and chopping vegetables; Speed 2 is for blending, grating hard cheeses, grinding nuts, and blending mixed drinks; Speed 3 is for pureeing, liquefying, crushing ice, and making smoothies. The Pulse button is used for controlled chopping and bursts of power. (Page 12)
