What steps should I take before using the BL660 for the first time?

Remove all packaging material and labels from the appliance, then wash the lids, pitcher, Nutri Ninja cups, and blade assemblies in warm, soapy water with a soft cloth. Rinse and dry thoroughly, and wipe the motor base clean with a damp cloth only. The pitcher, cups, lids, and attachments are also dishwasher safe and can be placed in the dishwasher with attachments on the top rack. (Page 7)
