What is the anti-tip device and why is it important?

The anti-tip device is a safety feature that must be properly installed and engaged to prevent the range from tipping over, which could result in death or serious burns. After installation, verify it is engaged at the rear right (or rear left) of the range bottom by grasping the top rear edge and carefully attempting to tilt the range forward. If you ever move the range, ensure the anti-tip device is re-engaged when you push it back against the wall. (Page 2)
