What should I do the first time I use the air fryer?

Before first use, remove all packaging material from the interior, including any polystyrene particles, and remove the cardboard between the frying basket and pan. Clean the device and all accessories before using them for the first time. Note that some smoke and odour may develop during the first use due to assembly materials on the heating element, which is normal and not a product fault — ensure adequate ventilation. (Page 32)
