What safety precautions should I take when charging my battery?

Do not allow any liquid to get inside the charger as electric shock may result. Always unplug the charger from the power supply when there is no battery pack in the cavity. Do not place any object on top of the charger or place it on a soft surface that blocks ventilation slots, as this may cause excessive internal heat. (Page 9)
