How do I clean and maintain the steam wand?

After every use, purge the steam wand by turning the dial to HOT WATER for 1–2 seconds, then wipe the wand and tip with a clean damp cloth. Every 2–3 months, soak the steam wand overnight in the milk jug with warm water and a Sunbeam Cleaning Tablet, then rinse thoroughly and run hot water through the wand for 40 seconds. If the wand becomes blocked, insert the Steam Cleaning Pin into the steam wand tip hole, then run hot water through. (Page 19)
