What should I do if I don't have a full load of dishes?
Run a 'Rinse and Hold' or 'Rinse Only' cycle (on some models) without detergent to keep the dishes moist and eliminate odor build-up. Repeat this cycle every 24 hours until you have a full load, then run a complete wash cycle.
