How do I clean and maintain the exhaust duct?

Inspect and clean the exhaust ducting at least once a year to prevent clogging, as a partially clogged exhaust can lengthen drying time. To clean it, turn off the electrical supply by unplugging the dryer, disconnect the duct, and vacuum it with a hose attachment before reconnecting. Also check that the outside exhaust hood flaps move freely and that there is no wildlife nesting inside. (Page 10)
