What does the LED indicator do while charging the battery?

When the battery is charging, the green LED will begin to flash to indicate that charging is in progress. When charging is complete, the green LED will remain continuously lit, indicating the battery pack is fully charged and ready for use. The charger and battery pack can be left connected indefinitely with the green LED on. (Page 8)
